I'm talking about how much territory the Isreali government intends to gobble up before it is satisfied. Skip the Bible quotes.

Rachel G - please stop playing dumb. What are your people doping occupying the Golan heights? How did they snag the West Bank off Jordon? Why was Lebanon occupied for 16 years and attacked again last year? Doesn't this suggest land-lust?

It was also God's promise that He will give the lands to Arabs who are the discentants of Ishmael the son of Prophet Abraham (PBUH)
Therefore I say unto you (Jews), The Kingdom of God shall be taken away from you (Jews), and shall be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

The Arabs always talk about Israel going back to "pre '67 borders". If they were happy about those borders why was there a '67 war. (I am not sure how old you are, but before 1967, Nasser-the president of Egypt- always talked about "driving Israel into the sea".) Israel begged Jordan not to enter the war, but after a few days of the other Arab countries telling Jordan that if they didn't fight they wouldn't get the spoils of war, the Jordanians fought too. Israel didn't wipe out these people, but ruled their land.
As a matter of fact some Israelis (not me) think that if you give the Arabs these lands, everything will be peaceful. HA!!
If you think that ruling over land that you got in a war you didn't start is immoral --well, I hope you live in New York or Louisiana, because all other land in America was NOT BOUGHT, but taken from the Indians (without Biblical sanctions) in wars or settling Indian lands.

The biblical promise of the holy land is made to Abrham in Genesis:
On that day, God made a covenant with Abraham, saying: "To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt as far as the great river the Euphrates. The land of the Kenites, Kenizites, Kadmonites; the Chitties, Perizites, Refaim; the Emorites, Canaanites, Gigashites and Yevusites." - Genesis 15:18-21
Meaning that the promised land would stretch from eastern egypt, through Israel (with the west bank and Gaza strip) up through Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, parts of Saudia Arabia and turkey to Iraq.
King David's kingdom encompassed even more than this.
Strangley, it is often ranted about how much it will take to appease israel, when they are the ones who have conceded land since the end of thier overwhelming victory in the 6 days war, they are the ones who provide homes and utilities for free to beduins who have/had no nationality, and they are the ones who live with many arabs and muslims among them, making great concessions for thier relgion, while the rest of the Mid-east calls them the "Appartheid," oppressors, and cals for thier destruction routinely. Who are the ones really disrupting a potential eace process?

Genesis 15:18 declares, "To your descendants (Abraham's) I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates." and
Joshua 1:4, "Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates — all the Hittite country — to the Great Sea on the west."
Since the Bible is where God states what his intentions were as far as land for Isreael, you're gonna get the Bible quotes. And, how are we supposed to know how much it's going to take to "Restore" Israel? If you read the bible and understand the peramaters, it might just take EVERY BIT of it!

You know we all live on one planet and if there is some disaster that is on a global scale all this petty squabbling over who owns land will be seen for the irrelevancy it is. If we are lucky we live for about 70 years and the land was there before we arrived and will be there a long time afterwards.

Why do you assume that the Israeli government is going to "gobble up" more land? Can you provide a link for this or is this just your opinion?
