get a cedar plank, soak it in water so it won't burn on the grill. put the soaking wet plank on the grill and put the salmon on it (skin down). there's no need to flip the salmon. about 1-2 minutes before its done, spread on a sauce of melted butter and brown sugar.
the salmon will have a great cedar grilled flavor but be very sweet also.
You can also use apple or cherry wood. If you can't find a grilling plank at a local store you can still use the butter/brown sugar mix, just put the salmon on aluminum foil on the grill.

Rub some oil on it with a biut of salt and maybe sme dill
Drop it on a HOT grill.
DONT touch it for at least 5 minutes.
Flip it over and let it cook another 5-10 until it is done.
Keep it simple with the herbs and such. Don;t marinade it. Salmon is too good to cover up.

Spray both sides of filet with cooking spray.
Sprinkle the meaty side with lemon pepper and salt.
Grill with the skin on and down over medium high heat until it flakes.
Carefully remove it from grill with spatula, remove skin and serve.

Okay, I like to do a short marinade in olive oil, lemon juice and minced garlic. I then sprinkle liberally with granulated garlic. Put it on cedar plank that has been soaked in water. Toss it on the grill until fish is flaky. Simply Awesome!

Soak a cedar shingle in water, and grill the fish on top of the wood. The wood smoke lends great flavor to the fish.
