My friend obsesses over calories. She counts everything she eats. We're both 5'6. I weigh 140lbs, (Im healthy, eat veggies, fruit, protein, etc and I have some muscles and a nice figure). She weighs about 118 lbs and very skinny, no muscle. Shes always tired? Shes been taking vitamins, but all she eats food within her calorie limit and she exercises twice a day? Does this sound like concern to you? Or am I overreacting?

It sounds as if your friend has a problem. I was like that once, where I was so obsessed with what I put in my mouth, so much so that I did not enjoy food. Don't bash your friend as she probably has issues with her apperance and figure. Instead talk to her and try and find out why she is so obsessed with claories and all that she eats. By doing that you two can probably get to the heart of the problem, which could help your friend enjoy food, and not worry so much about her caloric intake.
Hope this helps.

No, this is a concern. It's either a form of OCD (Obsessive-Complusive disorder - my friend had that, he could tell you how many calories were in toothpaste!) or an eating disorder - anorexia nervosa or exercise bulimia.

Either way, she needs help, and FAST. I don't know how old you are, but if you're both under 18, you should go to her parents and express your concerns. If you're both adults, speak to her directly - stage an intervention with other friends if you need to. What your friend is doing is not healthy and if she gets p*ssed off at you, it's worth it if she gets the help she needs!

This is definitely a concern! You really need to be careful how you approach it though because you don't want to burn a bridge by offending her. Be careful because she will probably be very defensive about it. Good luck and I wish the best for your friend!!
