I mean different species of eggs than chicken. I've had duck and quail, and I think goose, but what else is available eggwise and are they good or weird or what?

Do not eat raw eggs of any kind.
You can eat any kind of eggs as long as cooked. All bird eggs are pretty close in taste.
Goose tends to have strong flavored yoke.
Turkey eggs taste just like chicken eggs.
Emu and Ostrich also have strong flavor.
Caviar -fish eggs does not taste like eggs at all. Just taste like a little pouch of salty fish tasting liquid.
I would think you could also eat any reptile eggs like alligator or lizard.

All poultry eggs are edible (though most are too small to consider) - fish-eggs (as in caviar and sushi accompaniments) You would need to purchase exotic eggs through a gourmet service or food store in order to give them a try. I haven't tried ostrich but I understand it is greenish in color and it is worth it to blow the contents from the shell as the shells are very hard and porcelain like and are suitable for shallow carving and being turned into light fixtures. If you are truly adventurous you can try Beloit a Vietnamese treat that is a cooked fertilized duck/chicken egg and is a supposed aphrodisiac. Good Luck!

If you ever watch iron chef, you see them use so many different eggs....quail eggs, goose eggs, duck eggs, ostrich eggs, emu eggs, fish eggs, whale eggs

All eggs should be edible but whether they are palatable is another question. Try ostrich for breakfast. You'll never finish. Sorry I do not eat eggs so more than that I cannot tell you.

you can eat absolutely any egg you like
you can eat chicken duck goose osterich
if you wish you can eat sparrow robin owl swan , it wont hurt you,
then theres easter eggs , creme eggs and barkers egg's
you can eat a barkers egg but i dont recommend it as its a dog sh1t
