It's not that easy. I was motivated by some really bad pictures. Everytime I think I'm to tired for the gym today or it's too hot out to walk 5 miles, I look at those pics and remember. I've lost 60lbs with the diet and excersize so far. You have to find your own motivation and keep it with you all the time. Remind yourself why you need to do this in the first place.

Look in the mirror everyday and say to yourself over and over that this is what you want and this will be whats best for you to keep you strong and healthy. Then list to yourself all the reasons why it will make you happy to stick to your plan. Other than that try to stay away from the munchies so you won't be tempted. There's plenty of plans out there that offer foods that can be just as satisfying. I was on Atkins for a while and lots of companies make their own line of low carb candy and ice cream and all that good stuff and its just as yummy as the real deal

Bribe yourself. Tell yourself, "If I work out Xnumber of times this month, then I'll buy that I saw at the mall." (stick a picture of it on your mirror if you have to!)
I also write down (via an online service) everything I eat and every bit of activity that I do - this way I'm accountable for my actions, good and bad.
The other reality is - it's okay to "cheat" a little. I allow myself three meals a week (instead of one day, because that would turn into one big binge) to eat whatever I feel like and not feel guilty.
Enlist the help of friends and family. If you know someone is counting on you go to the gym or go walking or play tennis with them, it'll be harder to talk yourself out of it.

Exercise the first thing in the morning. There are advantages to doing this.
(1) Morning exercisers stick with it longer.
(2) Morning exercisers sleep better
(3) Morning exercisers eat better.
(4) Morning exercisers are in a better mood
(5) It's usually cooler in the morning
(6) Morning exercisers have more energy to get them
thru the day.
I've been walking and exercising an hour a day in the morning for five months now. I lost 30 lbs, have more energy and feel much better.

If you're I'm a rural area, I'm sure there are still places that you can go jogging, if you do it for about a week, you will start to build a habit, and you will start to see a change in your endurance, and just telling yourself that your not going to slack off might help, don't make promises to yourself that your not going to keep.
