I mean, like if a body was cremated or burned to a crisp and there is no body left. Would a person, Christian or not(but still a good holy person), still be 'resurrected'(i don't know the term used), and taken to the Kingdom of Heaven.
This is a serious concern of mine, I'm not kidding. I hope some learned persons could give me insight into this. I don't want to mention details, but i've had loved ones that have been lost at sea, or bodies never found in some tragedies, and another was accidentally cremated before we could claim the body. I don't mean to offend anyone.

In order to answer this question one must stipulate to the idea that 1) there is one self-existant true and living God from all eternity, who 2) created all things known and unknown in and out of the known and unknown universe out of nothing. If this is acknowledged, then creating something out of nothing, being as hard as that is to understand, is far more difficult than taking something that has already been created and destroyed and reconfiguring it.

Second, cremation accomplishes that which otherwise takes approximately 175 to 180 years, namely, reduce to dust the human body. Therefore, your question applies to anyone who has died over 180 years ago. In addition, what happens to our body parts consumed by critters in the soul, i.e., earth worms, maggets, beetles, bacteria, etc that is transported and distributed to other areas in the immediate soil or further away?

If God is capable of creating everything in the universe from nothing I do not see it difficult for Him to gather up the necessary parts, pieces, and so forth of all humans during the period known as the resurrection of the dead.

To give you an honest and complete answer. Jesus Resurrecting body's to take them to heaven is metaphorical. Its not the human body that God wants. Its the Human Soul. The way in which a person is burried has nothing to do with thier holy status in HIS eyes. Dead people cant help what is done with their bodies. They can't be punished for it.

Also if you think about it. If Jesus is all powerful and God made man from Ash. He could do it all over again with no problems. Don't worry . Your family has nothing to worry about.

When God made your body He made it from the earth and so when a person dies their body returns to the earth. I assume you are thinking about a spiritual body in which people will have once they go to heaven. This is the same body in which Jesus had after He died on the cross for our sins. A body that can be touched as well as a body that can also walk through doors. Keep in mind God made us with a Body, Soul, and Spirit. Your soul is your personality and your spirit is what God gave you to when He breathed life into you which is a part of Him. This is why we have a longing to be close to God even though we may not know who He even is. Jesus made it clear that heaven will be filled with the little ones and of course this is referring to children. Millions of children die every year and they are welcome into heaven without any conditions asked. Even though their bodies are torn apart, their bodies and well as they, do live in heaven. Hope this helps.

The God that created the universe has the power to go and collect every atom that was a part of your body. We are resurrected with physical, but glorified bodies. Jesus ate and drank with the apostles after the resurrection. He said to touch him and feel the marks.

"But someone will say, 'How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?'. Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain-or perhaps wheat or some other grain. BUT GOD GIVES IT A BODY AS HE PLEASES, AND TO EACH ITS OWN BODY" - 1 Corinthians 15:35-38

Also, God promises in the future day of the Lord:

"His flesh shall be young like a child's. He shall return to the days of his youth" - Job 33:25

A new body shall be sown for us (1 Corinthians 15:44-46)

He created adam out of dust so I'm quite sure he can remember exactly how we were.

It's not a physical return, but a spiritual return. Cremated won't matter. It won't even be the same moment of time for everyone.

OK, so maybe there's a chance it's a physical return. We've been waiting for two thousand years, now. As they say on my answer machine: "Please continue to hold. Assistance is just ahead."

Don't you think that the bodies that are in graves aren't falling apart and deteriorated? God resurrects the soul, which will have a new body.
