I think you can have feelings, but they are for something you have created in your head. You have never met that person. How do you know what that person is really like? People don't show their ugly side until you actually are in a relationship and courting is over. The feelings are fabricated in your mind. You are painting a picture of this person the way YOU want to see them, not by who they really are. You really need to get to meet and spend time with that person, or you could be in for a huge let-down.

I think so....and i've heard stories about people proposing to eachother from having a strictly long-distance online relationship! haha, maybe that story is a bit of a stretch, but goes to show that for some people, love can find its way without actually physically being near the person.
or if you mean never met, as in never talked to, i've seen crazed-celebritiy fans in love with movie stars and actors they've never met...so i guess even that can happen too!

That is called fantasy, not reality. Yes the feelings are based on an ideal, like all feelings, conjured up in your mind. When you discover what the elements of the attraction are, then you can match them with a real person you can meet.

Yes! Esp. after getting to know the person.
But I have to say, if this someone is someone in passing say at the bookstore, game center, movies or park, the feelings would be more of an infatuation.
The key is to get to know the person and let the person get to know you.
(By "in passing" I mean someone you see or someone you saw, nothing more.)

Have you ever talked to this person? If so then yes, because your personalities click. That's important in a relationship! If you've never talked to them, only saw a picture of them, then no because you don't have feelings for them, you have feelings for an image! That's called fantasy!

yes--I met a guy on a dating site. We've talked every day for two weeks straight and we're finally meeting tonight. I have feelings for him, not love, but strong connection-type caring feelings.

If you mean, having feelings for someone you just "Saw"; ABSOLUTELY! It's called animal magnetism, or love at first site! How many times that has happened to me, and I let it pass, becuase of insecurity or self doubt, or some other stupid reason, I cannot say.
