I like somthing in tha middle, one that can stand on her own 2 feet but still needs protected

A little of both. Neither too independent, nor too dependent (Too much of anything isn't good) I want a women to have a mind of her own, goals etc, and not depend on me for ever little thing; but at the same time I don't to feel like she doesn't need me.

well i think the reason my guy likes me is im a little of both
i am strong and have my own oppinion and tell him when things bug me
i wont let people hurt me and i stand up for myself when i need to
but i also am soft and i love to spend time with him
i spend almost everyday with him and i get all girly when it comes to babies and puppies lol
i can also tell him how much i care and put my heart out there and commit completely to him but at the same time i dont put up with his crap
lol thats what i think most men will like

Given a choice, strong & independent. Why? I like thoose qualities in people in general. They would give more feedback and have their own voice. That is sexy! Oh, minuses for any bossiness or controling issues.

Strong and independent. My wife is this way and she is judged for it because she refuses to bow to the likes of anyone. Her own parents have even turned on her. I love her the way she is.
