This entrepreneur is just about to give £1 billion pounds to charity. At a time when the gap between rich and poor in the UK is widening, is Sir Tom unique?

I find this donation very interesting because I manage a UK charity for disadvantaged people and raise most of our operational costs from charitable trusts in London. Without this source of income, we would be unable to provide our much valued support services.

not really cause i think i heard that line in Spiderman I. I'm sorry i can't bet excited about that. i am living in a country that has a population of 300 million. and i would say about 150 million are starving or struggling to make ends meet yet we can spend 10 billion a day on a stupid war that really from beginning to end had absolutly nothing to do with us. needless to say we could have given each american citizen 1 million a day and still spend less money than we are on the war. So the man gave a billion dollars to charity; i bet the people only get a third, if that the rest will be sited as operation costs.

1. To the person who wrote: "What he did to get the money to feel so guilty"......Cynical, much? Giving to charity is not motivated by guilt and if you are giving because you feel guilty then that is not YOUR way to help the world. You must find a way that does not create more problems, ie; guilt

2. He is not unique. The sum is large, yes but he is only reflecting a majour shift in the way alot of people are perceiving life. There are those who only see negative and there are those who see life more for what it is and can see how they can help change it to benefit all.

Do you have faith all scripture is given via proposal of God? because of the fact in case you do no longer, then it is not significant how many verses I quote, you will by no skill have faith what "the Bible says". Its obvious which you have been appearing slightly prognosis. So via now you may understand that we as human beings are all sinners; none human beings are reliable. we are born with a sinful nature. What does that imply? The inclination to do what's undesirable. i do no longer want to do what's undesirable yet while i'm getting careless I supply in. as quickly as switched over God's nature takes over and provides us potential to steer the best direction. while The Lord returns, our sinful nature will give up to exist and our conflict with sin will end. Homosexuality is certainly one in all of the main puzzling sins to conflict with. No different sin so needless to say impacts the physique as this one does. Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians to run far flung from sexual sin, for our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. Paul is going directly to declare "people who take exhilaration in sexual sin will have not got any share interior the dominion of God". He writes that God will "Abandon them to their shameful needs" If homosexuality won't get you to heaven, then it is going to be a sin. Do you experience that God could show regret to Sodom and Gomorrah? Their sexual sins led them to destruction. If in user-friendly terms they had repented and became from their techniques... Paul writes that sins could be washed away and the guy could be made top with The Lord. that's what "the Bible says" and that i've got faith it.

No, not unique, I have mentioned this before in Q&A, a lot of rich men do a lot of good with their money.
Unfortunately, they don't like to talk about it,
as it is between them and their God, as I have said before not all rich men go to hell.

I always try to think that may be somethings happen that we don't see... I think we get the true reward when we give and no one knows that we are giving it... I think it's a good way to check if we are giving for the right reasons.. :)
