NYC is one of the expensive city in US
cigarette costs anywhere from 6.50 to 8
diapers costs from 10.50 to 18

Cigarettes are between $7-$10 a PACK in the city. Diapers are about $22 a package, last time I looked.

Expect to pay pretty much top dollar for almost anything. If it's less, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
