Sheol / Hades is a realm with two divisions the abodes of the saved and the lost. The abode of the saved was called “Paradise” and “Abraham's bosom.” The abodes of the saved and the lost are separated by a great gulf. When Jesus ascended to Heaven, He took the occupants of Paradise (believers before his Crucifixion) with Him. The lost side of Sheol / Hades has remained unchanged. All unbelieving dead go there awaiting their final judgment in the future. So, did Jesus go to Sheol / Hades? Yes. Hell is a future place after the final judgment.

1) Read the bible and there's nothing in there about any "Rapture" So people need to quit making stuff up.

2) Any Christians saying that to you broke the 9th commandment: "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor." Cast any stones lately folks?

3) I respect all religions but no one really knows what happened before or after Jesus and are just going on blind faith or just believe everything they read because they were brought up too like the lambs that they are. The bible has been written and rewritten by man in so many religions for either personal gain or misinterpretation and that the bible is no longer accurate to the day it was written. No one knows unless they were there, period. When one assumes, they really know nothing.

Tell me of a time when there wasn't a Jesus and then ask the question. First, you might want to read John 1:1. What you say is "Jesus" is that pattern brought into the world so that men are without excuse. The men who lived before the pattern have more excuse then you and I, they will be judged by what they knew of Creative nature, we will be judged by how we treated the pattern or "way" to live as a human.

ok lol. First of all, it's a crock. There are 3 earth ages, the one before this one, we were all in spiritual form. 1/3 went with God, 1/3 with Satan, & the other 1/3 could give 2 shits. Kinda like these days. Then God got ripped, that's when true north shifted. But wanted to give us another chance, so we're in this life now. The next one everyone calls the millenium & is supposedly coming soon is like purgatory, there's gonna be another 1,000 year period for people to choose sides. After that, is that lake of fire - u ever hear that song by Nirvana? Great one. Anyhoo, then the people left will have no memory of the ones who went in the lake & we'll all be happy. But to be absent from this body (flesh) is to be present with the Lord, so they're all there now.

Heaven and Hell have not been set in place yet. We either go to a place of quiet rest (His presence) or a place of unrest. During those three days following Jesus' death, we know that he went to the people who had passed on before and gave them the opportunity to accept Him. No one will go to Heaven or Hell without having the chance to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and make the choice for themselves. He is a very fair and just God.

Nowhere in the bible does it say anything about Jesus going to hell and forgiving all the damned souls beforehand, etc. If the bible were true, then every single human being, and subhuman being before modern man went to hell.

This is yet another fatal flaw in the immensely flawed religion called Christianity. It is so obviously false, a five year old could see through it. (If his brainwashed parents didn't scare his wits away from him with descriptions of said Hell)

Those that died in disobedience went to a place called "prison"; waiting for Christ to preach to them (1Peter3:18-20). Others, who accepted Jesus (or Jehovah) went to "paradise"; the thief on the cross went there (Luke23:38-43 ).
Likewise, this "paradise" and "prison" still holds those who either accept Jesus or those who are "disobedient" and the same principle applies that those who are in "prison" await to be preached to. Moreover, they all await their own resurrection whether "just or unjust" (Acts24:14-15) as all are eventually resurrected.
Hope this helps.

Who ever Made up that statement in the first place is stupid, we are all entitled to believe in what we want to believe in, buddists are hardly going to go to hell because they dont believe in jesus and stuff, the thing is they still worship the god they have..so i think as long as you worship something and are loyal to whatever religion you belong to, youll go to some sort of heaven, i mean whos to say that our god is the only real god there is? no-one can prove it, so whoever made up that statement is a fool. and before jesus...people obviosuly believed in something...they couldnt all go to hell???

They had animal sacrifices in the Old Testament to cover their sins. When Jesus came, no need for animal sacrifices. He is the lamb of God who's taken away the sins of the world.

Hell, according to the Church. God's hands were tied, apparently. Though sometimes they throw in the "Harrowing of Hell" story (Jesus goes down to Hell during his time spent dead and preaches to the poor, pre-Christian damned who didn't have a chance) to make things look a little more fair.
