Yes there are loads of phones which offer a key lock feature. You can also ask your provider to set a PIN number on the line so you can only dial out when you know the PIN. This is also a lot cheaper than buying a new phone.

I believe you can buy a pay phone, where you have to put money in to make a call, this used to work with my friend because she could only make calls if she had change and it was out of her own money. You can get certain numbers barred also, try ringing BT or your service provider and enquire into this or maybe the code unlocking you was talking about.

If your local phone service is through Verizon, you can get a service called call gate. If I remember right, it is about $5/month. You have to use a code to dial out, but it does let you set up a limited number of allowed telephone numbers that can be dialed without the code.

Or you could always unplug all the phones in the house except the one in your room.

Take all the phones to bed with you!!. Seriously i think you can get a call barring service put on your line which you will probably need to have a pin number to remove. Had the same prob with my teenagers too but i just got itemised billing and charged them for all the calls they made which were not with my consent - they soon quit lol

Get a cordless phone, the put it under your pillow when you go to sleep. I have 3 cordless phones that connect to one base. I my phone has a feature that will unregister from the base and need a pin to reregister. I just leave the one next to my bed registered. If my younger brother or sister are staying over, they'll get to the phone as soon as I go to sleep. When they're unregistered they don't work at all.

you can get a code, but if they unplug and plug it back in the code has to be reset. had this problem for ever , in the end bought a cheap mobile for my own use and then got all mobile calls blocked, it cost very little but it is the only thing that works,

I believe you can also get a service that only allows it to be used in case of emergencies like to call 911 or the police and you cannot use it for regular calls, ask the phone company

your provider should be able to do that. mychildren were the same but i was able to get a bar put on and was provided with a code to tap in. Cost about £3 per month but that was nothing to what i saved . If you are in the UK just dial 150 to get through to your provider and make the request.
