My friend and I have plans for 4:30. She is returning from Nassau. Her plane is supposed to land at the airport at 2:50. If the airport is 1 hour away, by the time she gets her bags will she make it here in time?

She'll probably be a half hour late, and it totally depends on traffic and where you live and where you guys are headed, if the place is closer to the airport than from your house you should either meet her there or pick her up

No.. especially if she has to wait for baggage claim. Planes seldom arrive early and she has to get her car or taxi, and there could be traffic or an accident at that time of day, and if it was an international flight she would have to go through customs which could take hours.

You're one of those people who didn't answer this question correctly on tests right?

"If a train leaves New York going 60 miles an hour..."

Why don't you go pick her up and go straight from there? If you don't drive, there must be someone you know willing to give you a ride, just make sure you pay for the gas!!
