New twist on an old question:

Atheists, why ARE we here, on R&S?

Can you please describe why you enjoy being on the R&S section moreso than other sections in Y!A so that maybe we can stop reading the question of "Why are Atheists in R&S?"

And before you ask: Yes, you can drink to this question.

UnPope: I'm sorry. I was typing this question just as yours made it to the board.

Because if we weren't here, how in the name of (insert favorite deity here) would the (insert favorite religion here) folks ever get an education?

I am here because, well I stumbled here a while back and saw the dilemma going on, thought it was hilarious.

Then as I was here I noticed that there is some sort of community here, no matter what religion, or lack there of. It's all in the name of debate. Those who take personal offense aren't here long anyways.

I also troll the Politics section. though not nearly as often, damn politicians never answer when I question them why marijuana is a schedule 1 drug as it is not highly addictive and does have medical use. Still no answers no matter how I phrase, what time of day, or how many time I ask it there.

Two reasons:
1. Because religion effects many aspects of the society in which I live.

2. Because I'm a voyeur who enjoys watching the intellectual masturbation of the more dim-witted participants.

I am not an atheist. I just stumbled onto your question and thought I'd read more just to see if you had anything of value to say. Sorry, not much going on here. Think about asking Jesus into your heart.

I am printing the questions and answers written by the fundies. I will attempt to put them together in book form so as to expose religion for what it really is.

I initially liked it because it grabbed my attention. Very fast paced, and kept me away from my job for about 6 hours a day. I liked that. And it wasn't all bubble gummy like P+S
