Historically the Pharisee's saw G_d as infinitely wise and

merciful, deeply concerned with the fate of us and in control of

each person's life, except 4 the power to chose between good

and evil,--

So most of them became Christians cause they were

spiritually aware and realized the Temple veil splitting from the

top down meant something --that all the eye witness' to the

resurrection must mean something .

But the Sadducee's conceived G-D as remote and quite

uninvolved in human activities and believed that man has total

charge of his life-(doesn't that sound familiar Mr.

fisschmann) ?

There are two kinds of Modern Jewish people as I can see it. The Saphardic Jews, who are the original Jewish population from the middle east, and the ones (mainly from Europe) who chose Judaism as a religion very much in the way some other countries chose Christianity. Personally I speaking I believe the Saphardic Jews are the only original Jewish population.

The opposite actually. Modern day Jews are the descendants of the Pharisees that controlled the Sanhedrin and are the ones quoted in the Talmud. And yep- we do see God as infinitely wise, meciful and deeply concerned with the fate of each and every one of us. And very few Jews converted and followed Jesus- why should they? jesus taught nothing new and merely paraphrased much of what Hillel the elder, leader of the Sanhedrin (and thus the Pharisees) at the time of his birth (and who died when jesus was about 10) had been saying. And yep- Hillel is the most influential Rabbi quoted in the Talmud and today we adhere to his rulings as the most authoritative.

The Sadducees all assimilated and died out. Modern Judaism comes from the Pharisees.

Just how did you come to the conclusion that the Pharisees converted to Christianity? They'd have considered it pure paganism.

The Pharisees were the founders of Rabbinic Judaism.

The Sadducees were affiliated with the priests, and largely died out as a distinct sect after the fall of Jerusalem.

So much for that.

Poppycock!
To Jews, the belief that God would become human is the ultimate heresy!

Rabbinic Judaism of today comes from the Pharisees.

Today's Judaism is definitely Pharisaic in origin (although there are a few, small groups that are not like the Karaites).
