I often hear "why don't you find somewhere else to fester"
Thats a good point - you guys seem to hate questions... and answers...
Maybe they should make an atheist spot on YA so that we can have real Q/A time

John M... thats an interesting point... maybe I'm just strange... but when I was Christian I turned to discussion with atheists.. and now that I'm atheist, I turn to discussion with Christians. Its really amazing how the Christian's hateful bigotry can drive you away from conversation...

ooh, Goodie (rubbing hands together) a place just for the atheists, to think up new, insipid quips to insult Christians. Yay!
You know, when I was growing up, I knew what an atheist was. What did I care? Didn't affect me any (living in my free country). But then as an adult, some shift happened, and millions of people who wanted to insult others and pretend to be smarter, crawled from the woodwork and took on the robes of atheism. What gives here, people? What I'm waiting for is the pendulum to swing again, and watch all those young little rebels touting fundamentalism.

Can you give references to when you hear "why don't you find somewhere else to fester"?
You are making it sound like you are hearing this all of the time. I am doubting that. There must be some questions on here that someone used that in their answer or perhaps it was part of the question. You should have no problem giving links to 5 or 6 questions like this if it is something you often hear.

I am agnostic and I personally like the different opinions. I don't want to speak to people who think the same as I do.
I do understand what you are saying though. I often tell theists that if they don't want to hear from atheists then they should start their own group. Anybody can answer any question and I like that.
"I have never in my life learned anything from any man who agreed with me."

I think it's better to have a spirited discussion out in the open. People who have been indoctrinated to believe something probably won't go looking for ideas that challenge those beliefs

Atheists if only according to nowaday scients to support will be a superinsituation of scients which so far is still in a infancy level. Most of the data are to be ruin few years later. If the big picture is not according to the characters of the natural rules, it will be a limited statistic. It cannot be seen as a whole face reality. As budha said, the reality is changing, whatever you tell is not the reality since it changed to not your words can describe.

If you want your own message board or chat room, you'll have to go somewhere besides Answers. Answers is the wrong format for that kind of thing.

and what? talk about being an Atheist 24/7?? kinda lame. It doesn't matter who believes what, but if you had to revolve around the concept constantly...it would suck.

Because it is ok for religious fanatics to rant and rave freely but we atheists should keep our opinions/views/feelings under wraps. Or so the norm seems.

The only reason people are asking us to go away is proof that we've managed to shake up their faith.
The insecurity and fear of religious dorks is showing.
