Good news everyone!
It's happened before, it'll happen again.
See: Roman Gods, Greek Gods, Egyptian Gods, Sumerian Gods, etc.
All of the above cultures believed their beliefs to be "absolute truth" and now we consider them to be Mythology and nothing more.
Eventually Christianity, Islam, Juddaism, etc will be accredited to Mythology also.

No attack; just a couple facts and a couple questions. Evolution is still an *unproven* theory - do you believe in it so much you would die for it? Or has your faith in evolution evolved away? The faith in God and Jesus of many people over the centuries has been so strong they would and *did* die for it! Would people believe a lie so strongly they would die for that lie? Do they know something you don't?

No. Faith won't fade. Your question presupposes that faith is "a product of our consciousness," which reveals your lack of faith. You shouldn't use the collective term "our" in your assertion, because clearly faith is not the product of your consciousness. And, if your consciousness is not capable of producing faith, why do you assume that other people's consciousness produces their faith?
Faith is derived from another source, and unfortunately for you, you are incapable of perceiving it.

No. The lack of faith will eventually go away when Jesus returns. At that point everyone will believe by sight instead of needing faith. There will come a time when "every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord"!

Religion is man made. Religions come and go as man changes. When a religion fades due to too few followers, it becomes a myth. Faith will always be with us. I have faith that I can make a good cup of tea. I have faith in the goodness of most people. I have faith that I will some day have pie in the face.

I don't know, it seems like faith evolved because of intelligence. What will take it's place in making the fear of death go away. Any theories?
Edit: maybe eventually we'll ascend past all fears and look at everything rationally, nah we'll obliterate ourselves before that happens.

We (humans) are no longer evolving by natural selection. We have removed ourselves from almost all evolutionary pressure. In fact, we may be going the opposite way.
Let me give you an example. Picture a Catholic family, a Mormon family, and an atheist family.
You see? Common sense and planning for the future actually reduce your reproductive success. If anything, we are selecting against intelligence.

I think so. And then the Anti-Christ comes, and then the end.
2 Thessalonians 2:2-4 kind of hints that people will fall away and not believe anymore.

There isn't any benefit to not having faith, that I can think of. On the other hand, faith can unify people, and help pass along information and traditions.
So, no, it probably won't evolve away.

There may come a time when men replace truth with worldly wisdom. When this occurs I am quite sure we will be very close to the end of time as we currently know it.
