Why? Because typically these ugly men have money, power, or fame. The popular radio show host Tom Leykis is absolutely hideous, but since he is a famous multimillionaire he can get practically any girl he wants. Basically girls will eagerly go out with these rich guys in hopes that he will buy he expensive gifts and give her a piece of his wealth. Women are emotional beings, so they are less concerned about his appearance as long as he is confident and powerful. Whereas men are shallow, physical beings. It's also important to note that the prettiest girls are usually the ones with the lowest self esteem -- so they may feel that they are not good enough for the most attractive guys, and many guys take advantage of that.
If a man is successful, he wants to be rewarded for his success with beautiful women. A man's internal wiring tells him to go for the most beautiful looking woman because he wants to have healthy, successful children to continue the family. From a traditional family standpoint where the man works and the woman stays home to take care of the children..If a man is given the choice between the choice of a women who tries to look their best and one who doesn't try, why would he want one who doesn't put in the effort?
I know I probably sound very sexist, but whatever.

women look for what is inside a person while guys tend to just see the exterior in the beginning. I don't like the word "Ugly". One person's ugly is another's handsome. It is all a matter of society's definition. Guys think that an "Ugly" guy must have money but I have seen in my many years that sometimes it isn't money but that the "ugly" guy has but that he pays more attention to pleasing the woman and her needs come first instead of his plus maybe he has a big d***. Hot men tend to be more selfish and self centered.

Oh come on! You can't be serious?!?! First of all, that's tennis, not a beauty pageant. It's about the game and not the looks. These players are on WTA Tour because of the way they play tennis, not because of the way they look. And I'm just wondering how much quality there would be on WTA Tour if the only criteria for being on it is looks. I think we all know the answer. Good looking or not so good looking, if they are good in tennis they're on WTA Tour. And who would be a judge of who is pretty enough to be on the tour? You??? Give me a break!And it's such a waste of time even arguing about it! So, do everyone a favor and switch from tennis to Miss Universe, FashionTV... I'm sure you'll find hot girls there.

There are a LOT of ugly men out there who would disagree with this assessment. Generally speaking, ugly people end up with ugly people, and pretty people end up with pretty people. The exceptions are almost always rich people. If you're loaded and an ugly woman, I guarantee you that you can find a hot guy.

maybe he has a really nice body or the $$$$$. and i dont know why a ugly girl cant get a hot guy iv never had a problem getting a hot guy maybe because im hot. And its not all about looks sometimes it can be about personality

Because he was a high school track star or running back.
Maybe he doesn't want her? I don't think anyone is obligated to date people solely on personality just when some random person approaches them. I need to be attracted to their personality and looks for me to be completely satisfied.

Women are hard wired to feel attraction to certain personality traits (humor, confidence, assertiveness, etc.).
Men are hard wired to respond to visual stimuli (I.E.: looks).
It's in the genes. It's just the way that it is.
