Once the sauce is bubbling they usually cook pretty fast..I would say at least 20 min after the sauce starts bubbling they should be good to go.. make sure they are brown the whole way through
If you brown them in a pan first they will get done even quicker

I make a recipe "Stroganoff with meatballs" and this is how I cook the meatballs- raw (without sauce) for about 10 minutes; then drain them; add the sauce and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring regularly (about every 5 minutes). You can also speed up the cooking time by turning the meatballs over once in between the 20 minutes.

As was said above, be sure to check the center of one of the meatballs to ensure that they aren't still red!

If i were you I would brown the meatballs first then add the sauce and simmer. It should take about a half hour to do all.

You must first cook the meatballs before adding them to the sauce or they will break apart.
