Some folks here tend to preach at the Atheist, but once we have planted the seed, should we simply show them the love of Christ, and allow the Holy Spirit to water our seed unto salvation?

All people regardless of beliefs should be afforded a certain amount of human dignity and respect, irreguardless of whether or not they believe, or if we disagree with their theology. Do you do that?

If I can't answer a question on this board with kindness, I choose to not answer the question at all. I agree with you that we should respect everyone and show them Christ's love.
I have found that the best way to really love people is to PRAY for them. It changes my attitude toward them. I then can look beyond the front to the hurting heart and have compassion on them; and once I have compassion, it's not hard to love them.

Yes; however, Jesus was a man that stood up for Himself, and Christians should do the same. To quote yourself, "All people regardless of beliefs should be afforded a certain amount of human dignity and respect", that is generally not shown to Christians by Atheists, and there is no reason why Christians should just sit around and take all that flack. As a Christians myself, I'm am all for showing the love of Christ, and living the Christian life, and letting the Holy Spirit water the seed, but I'm also for standing up for what I believe in, and I don't let anyone else walk all over me.

I can't really see a person as not being saved because I have not idea what God has planned for them. just because a person does not know the Lord now does not mean they will never know God. I trust and have faith that the seed planted will be grown by the Holy Spirit. Kind of view them as if looking at them through Christ.

I believe you. although, I comprehend why others do it. inspite of each and everything, if there became a e book that claimed to offer human beings eternal existence -- does not you examine it in simple terms out of interest? possibly that's what those Christians attempt to do; convince atheists to offer the bible an probability. That pronounced, for the reason that all the info for God is inductive, a guy or woman will consistently want faith to have faith in God. If there have been thoroughly sturdy info, getting close to to God does not take any attempt, and consequently no longer clear out the folk who are not prepared to put in the time. So part of the reason Christians would hotel to in simple terms using the bible, is because of the fact in the event that they did use documents or innovations, those that reject the bible could reject the inductive arguments in simple terms besides.

I do my very best to love everyone just as Christ loved/loves. I don't agree with preaching to those who don't share my faith. If they have questions I'm more than willing to answer them, but I won't push my beliefs on others. One of my favorite quotes is from Saint Francis of Assisi, which says, "Go out into the world and preach the gospel, and when necessary, use words." If more Christians applied this principle I truly believe there would be more harmony between them and those who don't share their beliefs.

I try to show others the love of Christ, because if I don't why would they want to know the Christ, I claim to follow- however- we must be very carefully with which we use the word love- Christ loved all people, but did he ever speak the truth to them? Did He ever get righteously angry? Of course He did- when I see an injustice, I cannot just say- "it is ok" because I love you- if all it took for Jesus to do was say I love you, He would not have had to die of the cross- However, I must and we all must remember that Love is what will get people to want to know Him- not hate

I try to show God's love. Sometimes it is hard when an atheist blasts you with a rude comment or if they post disrespectful question in regard to God/Jesus. We are only humans and must do the best we can when loving our neighbor. Some are easier to love than others. They want respect and tolerance but I feel that some of them do not want to reciprocate.

Yes, all people, regardless of their beliefs, or lack of beliefs, deserve to be treated with basic human dignity and respect. Which is why I show it to them. I don't expect the entire planet to believe as I do. The majority of my friends and colleagues do not share my Christian belief, but we get along fine, nonetheless.

I think that if you follow the fruits of the spirit the question of what to show to anyone, believer or non-believer doesn't come up.
As a Christian my influence is only as good as how I live and how I conduct myself, that is what is going to make more of an impact on those around me then anything I could say.

You can lead a camel to water but you can't make them drink. People can do the same with religion. You can tell the truth as it stands, but it ultimitely is up to them. It's all I can do. I can't change people, and don't plan on trying. If I say one thing to someone and it makes them rethink their lives.. I've done God's work. And people have to leave things up to God after that!
