spaghetti?

you can either have meat or no meat. if you do, you cook that first. before you cook the mean, make sure you have e.v.o.o., some squished garlic, and some chopped up onions. when that starts sizzling and turning gold, you put in the mean and cook that thoroughly. then you add the sauce, prego - is what I usually choose. you can add mushrooms or other veges like zucchini's, etc. make sure you taste it so that it is good. my family likes to put in fish sauce or fish powder, it makes it tastes really good, something that salt cannot bring to the mouth. but you can just use salt if you want to.

while you are doing that you can boil up water to cook up the spaghetti, make sure you add salt to the water so that the flavor can get into the noodles. make sure that cooks thoroughly too. when you are done with boiling the spaghetti, you can put it into the boil sauce pot and you are ready to go. yum-o!

Bring water to a boil and and any kind of pasta, cook until tender, drain. I use Prego it easy and a good sauce, cook ground meat, I add smoke beef sausage it gives normal spaghetti a kick. Slice the sausage in thick or thin circle pieces and cook in a little oil till there brown. Add a little fresh garlic, onion, bell pepper. A little because these ingredients tend to spoil food quick! Simmer all together add a little margarine to the sauce, on top add dry Parmesan in container, and finely shredded cheddar from the pack and you are going to have some slammin' spaghetti.

noodles or the sauce? noodles there are instruction at the back of the packaging. If you don't have the instruction just boil a pot of water, When the water boils I like to add some salt then put the noodles in and wait for it to cook until it's desire consistancy. Sauce you can get the once from the grocery store and add your own stuff ie meat and mushroom or you can make it from scratch.

World Famous Spaghetti

2 lbs Italian sausage, casings removed (mild or hot)
1 small onion, chopped (optional)
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 cups water (for a long period of simmering for flavors to meld. If you don't want to simmer it as long, add less)
3 teaspoons basil
2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4-1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
1/4 cup red wine (a good cabernet!)
1 lb thin spaghetti
parmesan cheese

In large, heavy stockpot, brown Italian sausage, breaking up as you stir.

Add onions and continue to cook, stirring occasionally until onions are softened.

Add garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce and water.

Add basil, parsley, brown sugar, salt, crushed red pepper, and black pepper.

Stir well and barely bring to a boil.

Stir in red wine.

Simmer on low, stirring frequently for about an hour.

Cook spaghetti according to package directions.

Spoon sauce over drained spaghetti noodles and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

okay well first you get a pan that you can bil wqater in let the water come to a boil before you put the pasta in thats very important put a bit of salt in to give it flavor and make it not stick as much then i think its about 8-10 minutes let it cook and take one out of the pan and taste it to see if it tastes done enough to your liking then you simply drain the pasta out. While you rgettin ga pan ready to boil you should get another pan out for spagetti sauce either out of a jar or u could make ur own but you put th sauce in the pan but dont turn it up high put it on low and keep stirring that so it doesnt burn to the bottom of the pan. When it gets hot enough you just turn it off. Then when you strain the spagetti you eitherput it back in the pan or put it in a bowl and just add the sauce to it or leave the sauce on the side good luck.

From my experience, the best way to cook spaghetti noodles is by the following method, assumes you are cooking a full package:
1) fill a 5 quart pot with 4 quarts of water.
2) add 1/2 teaspoon of salt (more if you really like salt), 2 Tablespoons of oil (recommend Canola or virgin olive oil).
3) turn stovetop on High and let boil, uncovered (about 5-10 minutes, depending on altitude, higher altitude means longer to wait)
4) when water begins to boil, reduce to medium/ medium-high and add spaghetti ( I choose to break my noddles in half, but not required)
5) stir noddles to prevent them from clumping together. stir no less than every 2 minutes to keep from clumping.
6) allow noodles to return to low boil (takes about 5 minutes or so). Once noodles return to low boil, scoop a noodle out and break open. If you can see a white center, they need to cook for a couple more minutes. Once the center is a uniform clear color, the nooldes are done. The "if the noodle sticks to the wall, it's done" is actually accurate.
7) once noodles are "done", remove from heat and pour into a collander/strainer. Rinse with cold water for several minutes (prevents noodles from over-cooking), stirring well. Drain and transfer to serving bowl or add to hot sauce.

** For addition flavoring, I like to add garlic salt, instead of regular salt, and Italian spices (oregano, basil, etc) while the water is initially boiling. **

Noodles or the sauce?

As for noodles you just boil water and put in the amount of noodles you want to make. After a little bit of cooking them you can check their doneness by pulling a noodle out and eating it. If it's too hard keep boiling. If it seems all right to you then drain the water and you're done.

As for the sauce you can just buy that in a jar at your local grocery store. You can add spices like garlic powder and italian seasoning to try and make it more homemade tasting. I also like to add a pound of browned ground beef to mine. But, it all depends on what you like.

My spaghetti recipe:
1 lb hamburger
10 oz spaghetti noodles
1 Can your choice spaghetti sauce
Lawry's seasoned salt
1 can mushrooms

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. While you are waiting for the water to boil, brown the hamburger in a skillet, drain grease, add mushrooms, and lawry's (to your liking). When water starts to boil, add spaghetti noodles, lower heat to med, and cook for about 10 min. When noodles are done drain in a colander, Transfer hamburger to the large pot and add spaghetti sauce and noodles, mix and heat for approx 5 min. ENJOY!!
