Deuteronomy 22: says women may not wear a mans clothing. So what should a woman wear?

LOL, there are lots of crazy things in the bible (such as men shouldn't cut their hair beyond a certain length) but that doesn't mean Christians follow all these rules.

Why do Christians get to pick and choose what parts of the bible they want to follow? I say either follow it all (including this crazy rule) or none at all.

Jesus wore the fashion of His day.

Deuteronomy 22:5 actually says:

The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord, thy God.

It does not say pants, in fact, there were no "pants" in that day.
Something is pretty severe when it is an "abomination" before the Lord. It doesn't seem likely that pants would qualify!

I think the point is that men and women should be content in how we are created and not strive to take on the role of the other.

For those ladies who take this literally and wear skirts and dresses only, you will get no grief from me about it.

I am a Christian Pastor (some what strict so I am told)...

My wife does not even own a dress...there is nothing wrong with pants and blouse or pantsuits as long as they fit properly.

What people try to use Deuteronomy for is really rather ignorant,, don't they understand that men during that time did not wear pants, it was like a diaper underneath a skirt type outer garmant.

Goddess help us all. That's why pentecostals believe women can't wear pants. Through the years everything has changed including clothes. I am now wearing "girls" jeans. I am not wearing men's clothing. And why don't you try to go around in a skirt all day. It's not fun.

I don't think so. . . I wear pants all the time. God hasn't told me anything!
I think what he hates is when we wear things that are revealing or skin tight. It creates temptation. . .

Yes! religious women should be coverd all the way up with long gowns covering everything but their eyes......such crap....How old is the bible?? People still follow those outdated rules?Who wrote that load of crap?, some sexist pig! If there is a god I am sure he cares more about how you act than how you look and if not he sucks!
