Every day can be "Days of Good".
Here's what I do:
1. I collect "Labels for Education" and "Box Tops for Education" and give them to a church school down the street even though I don't go to that church and my daughter or anybody else I know attend that school.
2. I find shopping carts in my alley and take them back across the street myself.
3. I pick up recycling wherever I go, including campgrounds, picnic areas, playgrounds, and parking lots.
4. I rescue bags of clothes from the dumpsters, wash them, and donate the still good clothes to thrift stores in poor communities in the foothills and mountains of Central California. I also rescue other good household items, and clean them and recycle them.
5. I help my neighbors haul things or move using my pickup truck.
6. I give my neighbors leftover plants from my school greenhouses to beautify their yards.
7. I pick up litter wherever I go.
8. I pass on whatever I can't use to the people in my neighborhood who have nothing. I price my items at yard sales cheap so my friends can buy things like clothes for their babies at 5 cents each rather than 'accept charity'.
9. I give rides to my friends who have no car or had their car battery stolen right before they had to go to work.

I do these things every day! If people did things like this every day there would be no need for a special event...
