God first is in our money& words and don,t disrespect thousands who have lost their live on the American soil for the sake of christainity. Our congress and jurdges are corrupt and should be replace with God fearing wise men. When good men fail to act the inoccent suffers, our generation are going to suffer this stupidity, children are not going to feel secured because of this great pervertism.

First hillbilly, learn to spell before you post...two, this is NOT a Christian nation, this is a FREE nation, see the first admentment for more details. Thrid, I thought Christianity was suppose to be loving God, not fearing him...(fundie...) And I DO agree, when good men fail to act the innocent suffer, but not in this case, I'm sure that our children will feel even more secured because they now have the opprotunity to be whatever they REALLY want to be, whether gay, straight, bi whatever. So to sum it up for you in REALLY small letters, learn to spell, this is not a Christian nation, Christianity is supposed to be a God loving, not God fearing, religion, and normal, not inbred people will feel more secured about it.

It was put in writing (some treaty involving Tripoli) that this is not a christian nation. In baring a particular group of citizens from rights exercised by the rest of their constituency, you create a "separate but equal situation" which is blatantly unconstitutional. Also, I really don't understand the whole "marriage is sacred" line when the divorce rate is at about 50%, and I don't think the godless can be putting up those kind of numbers on their own.

This is a secular nation. Not a Christian nation. If this was a Christian nation, I suspect that non-Christians would probably be jailed and or executed. There is a separation of church and state for good reason- so people like you aren't sticking your religion into the lives of people who don't follow.

Questions like this display the need for such secular laws. People like you should NOT be making life decisions for others such as (but not limited to): hindus, muslims, atheists, agnostics, jews, and gays.... Just because your god tells you that he's shown you the light and the way doesn't give you the right to tell someone of another faith that they do not, nor does it give you the right to pass laws that infringe upon those people's rights.

What if we made this into a hindu nation, and started tailoring our laws around that? Would you like it? Would you like the fact that you wouldn't be allowed to do some of the things you like to because SOMEONE ELSE'S RELIGION says not to? How would you like it if Christianity was outlawed because some atheist took over and didn't like you?...

Questions like this make me wanna puke.

and BTW- most of the people in the government are already christian- stfu

How about the thoasnd others who have lost their lives defending America that were not Christian... are their lives less valuable...IF God is Love and Forgiveness.. why should we fear him?? If you are a christian and you follow his teachings to the best of your ability you should not have to fear him... Love thy neighbour does not mean oust him and punish him for his ways.... You have no right to judge someone, or to punish them for something that is not deemed right by your religion.

The Crusades were a dark time for christian history, and dont think that men have grown from it espsially when the teachings they followed remain mostly the same. Things need to change and grow in order for society to reach its potiential of peace.

Are you also against womens rights? Perhapes the rights of children?? IF you are not then perhapes you should look back less then 80 years and look at the rights that they had. And the amount of conterversy that arose from granting rights to them.

Gay rights is another step in the right direction, of acceptance and equality, peace and respect for ALL RELIGIONS and ALL PEOPLE... not just the satisfation of christian men. Christians are also not the only 'innocent' people.

Children wil feel that they have the chose in life to whom ever they want without the fear of society beating them to death, and with out the need to live in secert. Gays have always been around, and always will, preventing rights to them only fuels hatred and disrespect towards them.

What is in a book is not true! We should not be making laws about what is in the bible! That is wrong. We have the right to marry. By the right it means we can marry a man or women. That also means we have the right to be gay. Plus Christianity is not the only religion here. We have more people who do not believe in God then any other country. So that makes the U.S atheist!

Um, I suggest you read the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise clause of the First Amendment to our Constitution. Also, they have grammar check on most computers. In the meantime, remember, please, that we are not a Christian nation, we are a nation of people who came here to escape religious persecution in any form.

Gay marriage has nothing to do with anything you're talking about up there. If you read the Bible, I'm sure you know that you are responsible for loving and granting equal treatment to all individuals regardless of race, creed, or color. Any other reading of Jesus' words is just absurd.

I agree that there shouldn't be gay rights.

I don't agree on the part where you said children are not going to feel secured because of this great pervertism.

No one should have any more or any less rights than the other person.

The bible teaches us to love everyone like you do your own family, just because someone is gay doesn't mean they want to do every person they see. I think you listen to too much media.

God should be first, but prosecution isn't the answer.

This is obviously not a Christian nation.
To answer your question, the lie everyone seems to be falling for is that it is not a choice.
There are some that have a very hard time with the sexuality issue, through no fault of their own. We cannot judge, not condone, but not judge. God and God alone knows the hearts of people, its thoughts and intents.

Uhh. . .hello. . .I am a straight Christian. Just because people are gay does not mean they don't deserve the same love, respect and equal opportunity as you do. Even if you believe homosexuality is a sin, that has nothing to do with your freedom. Do you not sin? If you are talking about marriage, that's a different discussion altogether. Just because you disagree with someone's lifestyle, doesn't give you the right to take away their opportunity and freedom. If you want Christians in office, then vote them in, but thousands of soldiers have lost their lives to have freedom of religion. Freedom to believe in whatever you want to, not just in Christianity. God gives us the right to choose, no matter who we are or what we do. If you want change, then get on your knees and pray for it.

Why shouldn't they? What is your great idea?

Why are you concerned about a group that doesn't procreate and yet you don't think they deserve the same rights as you. What does all men created equal mean to you exactly. They were equal for a split second at birth then no more?
