Of course with your permission. Otherwise if you are looking to avoid a problem, you need to report it as borrowed without your permission or stolen

Legal? If they have your permission? Absolutely. I don't believe there are any laws against driving a vehicle with someone's permission.

Edit:

WOW! I was looking at some of the other answers you got and there is a LOT of MISinformation and outright WRONG answers out there.

Just a suggestion: Check with your agent or someone you know in the insurance industry to get correct answers.

For one - If YOU are insured - typically anyone driving your vehicle is ALSO insured under your policy (unless they are specifically excluded or you are bonded. Sometimes issues of material misreprentation will cause you trouble if the driver is a blood relative living with you and hasn't been added or excluded from your policy.)

Uuugh. Licensed or NOT typically has NOTHING to do with whether or not coverage is afforded under a personal auto policy. Driving unlicensed is a misdemeanor - not something relevant to your insurance.

Sure, with your permission of course, anyone can drive it, with or without you present.

Your insurance will remain in full force and effect unless that person is specifically excluded from coverage on your policy.

First, they must have a valid driver's license.

Second, they must have their own insurance seperate from yours (or be listed as a driver on yours).

Third, make sure it is okay with your insurance company. Usually, there is no problem, but some policies do have exclusions (example: a common exclusion is no male or unmarried female drivers under 25) .

So long as they have insurance of their own, a valid license, and your insurance company does not exclude them, then you should be okay.

Typically it is, but even without you in the car, if someone else is driving your car with your knowledge you will be responsible if anything should happen.

If they have a valid driver's license, it is legal. You might want to check your insurance policy though, as other drivers may not be covered.

As long as you give them permission to drive your car. But if you dont have uninsured motorists with your insurance then they will not be covered if they wreck your car that will all be on you!

Anyone can drive your vehicle without you being in it, just make sure they have a valid driver's license.

It is OK if the owner gives permission. Otherwise its called theft. as well, for insurance its not illegal but your insurance or their insurance may not cover it. so check your policy.

if they have your permission and are liscensed...yes. however, if the person were to wreck your car, you could expect a difficult time getting your insurance to cover the damages.
