Do you think that they have a bad past? Or are you open minded enough to just look at the person instead of the tattoos?

Stereotype them, by thinking they have a bad past? No.
Stereotype them by thinking they are posers? Yes.

I totally don't at all. I think alot people do tho. I have always looked at the type of person you are before what you are on the outside. What I really hate tho...is when people see me and think oh...that girl would never have piercings or tattoos...she is sooo inncoent.

I have had soooo many piercings it isnt funny and I have 6 tattoos.

Some people are just really closed minded.
I actually knew a woman who was tattoed from HEAD TO TOE, I mean literally. She was soooooo sweet. A little insane lol... but super sweet

I see the person and the tattoos and I don't stereotype regarding either. I also happen to have tattoos so I understand the problem. I really couldn't care less whether I'm stereotyped when someone sees me because I know my own worth.

I personally do stereotype, but not in the way most do, I try to point out the good things, now that you mention it I think I try to profile people... To see if I can tell what they do for a living, as well as what they like to do for fun! But I also am open minded to the person. To me your body is a temple, and you decorate your house with art don't you? So that would kinda be like stereotyping a person based on the artwork in their home? Wouldn't it? So one could ask, the same question based on artwork in a home.

Sometimes, it depends. A little one is cool, but if a person has a huge design all over their arm I would be like "heh heh, okay," and edge away from them. But I do that just because the majority of teens and adults here where I live don't have large tattoo designs, i'm not used to the sight. But I don't shut myself out completely. "Hey, bully, I know someone with a huge tattoo who can beat you up, so shut it!" XD

I try not to judge anyone. I have a tattoo and getting ready for my second, in memory of my brother. I told everyone I was getting one and no one believed me and were shocked when I came home with one. I found it funny. I think of it as a way to express one's self. I like tattoos with meaning and would get big bird on my butt or anything but hey if thats what they want to do, go for it.

I don't. I think I may have offended some people with them because I was staring, but I was staring at the art work not them. I love to check out tattoos. I don't think that they are that big of deal anymore. I have one, my daughter just got one for her birthday.
If you do, then get a life---there's nothing wrong with them!!!!!!!

Very open minded! I met my soon to be husband over 4 yrs ago at work and he is covered from the neck, his whole back, and both arms with tats. He is the sweetest, most understanding man I have ever met. He's never done drugs or been in trouble with the law. It was his personality that attracted me to him.

i LOVE tats and when i see people with them i am interested in the stories behind theirs, esp if i like the tattoos and almost assume that those people are nice and open because everyone i have ever met with tats has been super cool to me. you would not believe the compliments i get on mine too - even from people you would never expect to approve of, much less like a tat!!!
