Yes.
It is all an introduction to lead us to Christ.

1In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. 3The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Hebrews 1:1-3

Enough, I guess. Some parts, of the new and old testaments are hard to understand. Thats what pastors are for to explain things. However, on good example is Revelations.......just a few years ago, there were areas in it that did not make any sense at all. The pastors couldn't explain them. In one place there is a verse that two people would lay in the streets and the whole world would cast their eyes upon them. Until a very few years ago, it was impossible. Now with satelites and instant imaging, it is possible for the whole world to see them lying there.

So, what I am saying, the further we go, the more we understand. Hang in there.....full understanding is coming. Pops

You'll have to be more specific with this question. There are many parts that I do understand, and there are some that God has not given me discernment for yet, but I know He will in HIS time. In a nutshell, I understand that the Old Testament is comprised of several books regarding God's covenant with His people through laws; and that the laws were given in order to show us that God is PERFECT and can not tolerate sin, and that man can NEVER be perfect enough for God, so a mediator will be sent in order to bridge the gap between God and man so that we can have the opportunity to be reconciled to God once again.

Nio. I was just thinking about that. The New testament is much easier to read and to understand. there are some parts of the old testament that I clearly understand. Then there are parts that I just do not get.

Yeah
I understand it is an amalgam of previous cultures mythos, Egyptian and Sumerian mythos, Sun worship and Astrology.

I also understand it is a total fabrication and that no God has ever made itself known to us. Instead politicians and charlatans have made their imaginary gods know to us.

It has been said:
The New Testament is in the Old concealed,
The Old Testament is in the New revealed.
