It's like 30 minutes away. Sadly one of the excuses I use a lot of times is that I don't want to make the drive and spend the gas money. I could find one closer to home, but I really like that one!

My church used to be fairly close, but relocated, and is now on the outskirts of the city. I drive a good distance to get there. However, I practically live in the backyard of a church of another denomination. I live at the edge of the church cemetery, so close that the tombstones are practically in my yard, and the church itself is a very short walk from the cemetery. There are half a dozen churches within very easy walking distance of my house, but my own church isn't one of them.

I am an atheist, and attend no Church, but there is a rather dodgy looking church just opposite me.
Eleventh church of Christ the Scientist, or some such. No idea what they get up to in there mind you. Never seen anyone enter or exit.

Well the Church is the members, but the building is just a half a mile away

We are about 15 minutes away from our building where we all gather together to worship.
In the bible, the church is actually the people whom believe upon Jesus Christ.
So, if that is the answer that you are looking for, I am in the body of my church all the time.

Why are you assuming everyone has a church????
I do not believe in organized religion. For one thing it makes no sense to me that 'god' expects to be worshiped???
Why?? What kind of god is that? An egomanic god? And the notion that we are all 'sinners' is awful! It's shaming and judgemental. I am not a 'sinner'. I may have my faults but I am a pretty good person.

How close to what ? I can bus to it,cycle to it,or even walk to it.
