ok well i baked a cake and the to let it cool of i put it in the fridge.... but while it was in the fridge a pitcher of water tiped over and half of it is wet.. i plan on putting icing on it but i am not sure if it will taste the same when it is wet. is there anything i can do to fix my wet mushy cake??

No. Cut the mushy part off. Then take cookie cutters and make the cake into mini cup shaped cup cakes and frost.

Sorry, but you are going to have to bake a new one. Don't cool cakes in the fridge, cools them too quickly. Let it sit out on the counter top until it's room temperature.

Rebaking it will make it hard and over-done, microwave will make it rubbery.

If you had immediately cut the cake in half after you spilled, you could have possibly saved that half, but by now, the water has spread through it.

Nope. Cut away the wet part and pitch it.
Then use the dry cake, chop into chunks, and make a trifle! In a large glass bowl, layer pudding or mousse, your cake chunks, maybe some fruit or chocoalte shavings, and whipped cream.

Cut the cake in half where it spilled and ice only that half,throw the other half away.

NO DO NOT SERVE THAT CAKE WET. Use the good half and get creative with it
