If you're into dark colors, try dark or ebony wood for furniture & floors; if you prefer light, white painted wood furniture or yellowish woods provide a great contrast to purple, since yellows are opposite to purples, and whites will make a sharp contrast to your rich purple.
Other colors like silver, gold, black, and other shades of purple (lavender, lilac, royal purple, violet, black grape purple)might work as well.
Also try differnt fabrics if you can- silks, satins, velvet, cotton, sheer fabrics for your bedding and curtains.
For decoration, silver, gold, black, and white knicknacks will give a nice touch to your room.

Your best bet is to get a paint chart and put the colors next to the purple, to see what goes better for you, in the day light, and the night time.

Yellow, red, green, sage. A lot of colors will go with purple but you will need to get swatches to see how a color works against it. Some yellows are too intense or orangy, so are reds and may not be right.

I've seen Oprah wear purple and chartreuse together. Also, I've seen them as official school colors. Put them side by side, and if they look good, go for it. Depends on the shades. I had a lavender sweater that I could wear with brown, but not green, looked awful.

Gold, cream, red, lavender, white, pink.
Not necessarily all those colors together, pick a couple together.... like gold and cream, rich red and gold, white and gold, pink and white.
Also, keep with accents of same color purple. Toss pillows, table dressings, vases, flowers..
Splashes of green, nice too...like plants.
Depends on your tastes.
My guess... :)

With a rich purple, a bright yellow would look amazing and brighten things up. Also, if you like lime, that would brighten it up as well as looking good.
