because witch doctors use the term "doctor" which is misleading people into thinking they have some medical background or training.

faith healers are rightly described by thier name and does not lead to this confusion.

thus witch doctors are improperly and illegally practicing medicine while faith healers just heal people's faith.

Only Charismatics and Pentecostals believe in faith healers. Ask them.

Most Christian denominations would agree with you that faith healers are borderline witch doctors.

Why can't all the miracles be coming from God just in forms that individuals need in order to believe and have faith? All the labeling is such a waste of time because when you get right down to it, all these so-called religions/belief systems come down to the same thing...you ain't nothin without the "power" of something else behind you; and at what point did we decide that was a bad thing? What's the difference what you CALL it? There are several references in many different "religious" texts of people other than THE ONE who can perform miracles and healings etc etc Are they from the "devil"?

First of all I do not personally know or support any "faith" healers. Benny Hinn and his ilk are not people I watch or pay attention to. What they are doing is between them and God.

Anything having to do with witchcraft is against what God has said. It's sinful and of the occult. Therefore a bible believing Christian will not want anything to do with it.

I am not the judge of a person who says they heal by the power of God. Do they? I don't know. But if someone isn't using the power of God for His purposes to give Him glory, the one who will be judging them is God Himself.

In Christianity, witchcraft of any kind is bad. Some "faith-healers" are operating in witchcraft! The difference the way I understand it:

Witchcraft is trying to manipulate the spirit realm to craft things the way you want them, by doing some tricks, or reciting a mantra, or something like that.

Real Christian healing has nothing whatsoever to do with mantras, tricks, or manipulation of spirits. It is simply petitioning God to heal a person.

The difference is that in witchcraft, the person's will is done. They are trying to do what they want, on their own terms. In Christianity, you leave things up to God. You pray and petition him, but you don't "force" his hand, you leave the actual decision to God.

Witch doctors use the power of satan to deceive and make him look like a savior. Faith healers do it in the name of god and the people who do it usually are very close to god. It is not good to heal if it is in the name of something bad (satan), but if you are going to heal in the name of something good and pure (God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit) it is good.

Both of them are wrong in Christianity.

Just because someone has the power to heal you, doesn't mean its coming from God.

Just look at the biblical story of when Moses visits The Pharaoh to ask for the freedom of Israel. For prove that he had divine approval Moses tells Aaron to throw his staff and it turns into a snake, but then Pharaoh's own priests threw their's down and they also turned into snakes.

The same can be applied today. One has to be aware of the false prophets that would rise, saying that they are able to expel demons and heal. (Matthew 7:15-17)

And besides even if they would heal, they would have to copy Jesus example and heal without charging (Matthew 10:8) and everyone, i mean EVERYONE who would go to them, would have to come out healed (Luke 6:19, Acts 5:15,16) to prove that they indeed have divine approval.
