Tylenol will help with the soreness or Motrin but Tylenol is very soft on the tummy. Take a couple of wet wash cloths wet them and fold them in twice so it is quartered and freeze them. Till they are ready some ice in a bag with a towel around it. Be careful, if it gets too swollen it could be a bad reaction and should be looked at. You will know if it is bad the child will have other symptoms like fever, rash, etc.... The wash cloths will be light to the touch on the sore spot.

Try placing a bag of frozen peas on the swollen area-The peas ( or corn etc. ) are kind of soft and are less likely to cause frostbite
If you want to use an ice bag ,pad it with a towel and check the child's skin often.

Try to rub it or put ice on it if it feels warm. It will go away soon I promise...If it doesnt though go back to the docs it may be an allergic reaction.
