I am 31 weeks pregnant. I was planning on giving my 2 week notice today. I am planning on filing for disability, when I turn my paper into the Dr. office next week.
Will I be ineligible if I put notice in now?

Also,,,,,added note..I live in CA, but have only worked at my current job for 6 months. I was told I would not get paid maternity leave...Is this true?

Its is called short term disability, dang people! You could do that but I would advise you to wait as long as you can because it will only last you 6 weeks and if you carry full term then it would run out before you even had the baby. Also, they might consider it a "pre-existing condition" since you were already pregnant when you started, so you might not get paid. I would definitely turn your paper into the Dr. first, then put in your notice (if any) to ensure that you will get it. Good luck, hope this helped!

Disability? For what? Where do you live? IN the USA they do not consider pregnancy a disibilty no matter how high risk the pregnancy is.
