We are currently in the process of raising a kitten that is now 12 weeks old. We got him when he was found abandoned at 1 week so we had to be the mamma.

DO NOT give him regular milk, go to your vet or local pet store and pick up kitten formula. Also make sure you get a little feeding bottle.

HAVE PATIENCE with the kitten, you are in for some rough, yet enjoyable times. It is all worth it has they get older. Remember to feed her/him anytime they seem to be hungry.

At about 5 weeks it’s good to start mixing some wet food with formula, then eventually dry food. Good luck!

Never give regular milk to cats....their systems cant digest properly & they dont get the nutrients they need. You need to get a supplemental mothers milk from a pet store or from the vet. The kitten has to be fed every couple of hrs. depending on the age Around the clock in order to survive. You can also try some wet kitten food-again depending on the age.
If you really want to take care of the kitten get it the proper treatments & have commitment. And , if the kitten is that young you may also have to stimulate it to pee & poop as the mother would ...by wipeing the areas with a warm most cloth to get it to go-otherwise they can poison their systems and get real sick. Check online info about raising kittens, call the humane socity or a vet to get some info. on how to care for it.
Good luck & dont wait too long to do the right thing...and dont let him back outside.
take care

Do you mean not weaned yet?

Kittens under 6 weeks of age MUST be fed a kitten milk replacement formula (available from vets and pet stores). If they are over 4 weeks of age, you can offer them soft kitten food as well, but continue with the milk until they are 6-7 weeks of age - they should be fully independent on solid food by 8 weeks of age.

Please don't give your kittens cow's or goat's milk. Apart from probably giving the kittens diarrhoea, there is not nearly enough nutrients in it for the kitten's requirements - cow's milk is a big no-no!

Stop giving the kitten milk. Milk ruins there digestive system. But there is another type of milk that is fit for kittens. it will be in the cat section of the store. And it may be old enough for regular cat food. Well depending on the kittens age.

I suggested a site to another person with an unweaned kitten and got feedback that it was extremely helpful.

Go to: http://kittenrescue.org Click on Cat Care and open the kitten care handbook.

Do not give him regular milk, it is not good for him. GO to the pet store and buy kittne formula. Take him to the vet and find out approximately how old he is. You may be able to moisten some kitten food with water if he is old enoughto digest it.
