I am a hypnotherapist and can honestly attest that I have seen multiple clients stop biting their nails in only one session. It works and you will not need to use nail polish or any other such behavioral modification technique because you can completely eliminate the habit through hypnosis with a well-trained and well-qualified practitioner.

You can actually read a testimonial about this on my website at: http://www.tfioh.com/WebStore/?PAGE=GenericPage&ID=159

Once you eliminate the subconscious cause of the problem you will never have to worry about this again. Good luck...

I used to bite my nails all the time but I found that whenever I bothered to paint my nails I would always avoid biting them so as not to mess up the pretty paint job. You could paint them yourself or get a manicure every couple of weeks so that you won't want to ruin the manicure you paid for. It'll keep you from biting!

Take off all your nail polish with finger nail polish remover. Then try biting your nails. Tastes nasty, huh? Now put some of that stuff everyday after you wash your hands and I guarantee you will quite!

Depending on how old you are, the only thing I found that helped me was getting a full set (fake nails). Hope that helped... but I've tried everything from garlic nail polish to "self control"... So try that, its about 24-32 bux and the nail shops. XoXo

I used to bite my nails down to nothing all the time until I decided that they looked better when I didn't and I just stopped doing it. Try keeping them polished and pretty, then you won't be as tempted to bite them?

There is this stuff you can put on yoru nails, and it has a bitter taste...its kind of like "Bitter Apple" that you would give a dog to get them to stop chewing on things....but its for ppl to put on their nails. I have some, but never tried it...haha. I actually just go and get fake nails put on and that keeps me from biting mine until they come off.

First biting nails is just a nervous habit. Like people chewing the inside of their lip or cheek. We get a lot of nervous habits that come along with stress. The best thing to do is train yourself with the power of that knowledge that it is just stress making you do it.
Second tell yourself over and over how nasty those nails are. Where all they have been. After all they are dead hair and skin cells that harbor as much germs and bacteria as your hair does. I did that to break my nail biting habit. You just have to put your mind over it and tell yourself it's a nasty disgusting habit.

Its normal to bite your nails, you just need to find a different habbit.
