Cats should not be bathed. They are well equipped to keep themselves clean. Surely you know cats hate water?

Why are you bathing them anyway, are they dirty?!

Cats should not need to be bathed. If you mean a flea bath, you're using the wrong sort of product, you need something from a vets, like Frontline spot-on.

I can't honestly think of any time that bathing a cat would be appropriate, unless it's pooed itself or rolled in something hideous, but anyway cat castrations take a few days to heal up so cats should be kept inside, NOT bathed and prevented from licking the incision site for at least 3 days.

I would wait until they are healed if we have an op they advise against bathing and you can't use plastic skin, it is well known cats do not like bathing my first cat was a chinchilla blue very long fur bred for a show cat he was perfect but they could not wash dry and primp him for contests, although I have never bathed my cats some cats do like water my last long haired female used to get in the shower with me and wait to be towelled dry, so come on if show cats can have it done and do not mind, why be so hard on the questioner if there cats don't mind.

There is never a good reason to bathe a cat. They look after themselves.
I have two cats and both are meticulous in preening and cleaning themselves.
How do you think the feline family cleansed themselves in the wild before humans were invented?
Leave them to it, they will do a better job than you and, in any case, you will cleanse all their natural oils out of their fur and cause them to be vulnerable when it rains, you having de-water-proofed them.
For goodness` sake, stop doing it! Both you and them will feel better for it and they will appreciate you more.

Check with the vet because of the stitches may be disolvable, but if the vets say it's okay then there shouldn't be any problems with bathing them. If you can't, use toilet paper and wet wipes to clean up the one who's had an accident.

Hope that Helps

You bath your cats!!?? I would have to be protected by a full suit of armour to try and get mine anywhere near a bath. Unless they have had an accident and need cleaning, cats don't need to be bathed.

At least 7-10 days they're going to be sore.

I'd ask a man how he'd feel about bathing after having bits chopped off!!

I don't think you should be bathing cats. They keep themselves clean, and bathing will strip any natural oils etc they have.

Cats hate water!

You don't need to ever bath a cat. They don't like to be wet, and they just need regular (daily if long-haired, weekly for short-haired) combing
