People who say that often are insecure. They tend to stupefy the people around them by using the f-word every so often to radiate the feeling that they are courageous, self-assured and always ready for any type of confrontation. It kinda says : "Stay Back", which a lot of us do, out of irritation or intimidation..

Psychologically speaking....It means that they are filled with anger and frustration. Most likely he/she is unable to cope with the anger. It could be that he/she feels that they have lost control. Therefore, he/she has regressed to acting out for attention. If this individual has been acting like this for a long time he/she may not even know why he/she is so upset. If this is a more recent change in behavior, you might want to gently ask him or her what is bothering him/her.
Please note I am a student with a B.S. in psychology. I am not a professional-this is only my opinion.

There is some truth in all of the comments posted here. However, the simplest and most accurate explanation for people using the f-word a lot is that it is a reflection of bad breeding.

I have always been told that people who use cuss words a lot, are too ignorant or lazy to think of another word to use. I would say to him that while in the workplace he should really speak in a professional manner. Unfortunately, how he speaks out of work is really his business.

They are aggressive, and yes have a limited vocab.
Aggression is to make whatever they are saying sound bolder or more important.
However, some people find everything funnier when it has the F word infront of it. some stupid comedians do it.

I would say that this person either is very angry, or just very self-conscious so they use the word to get peoples' attention or make themselves appear "tough" or "cool". I would tell this person that the over-use of the word is offensive and annoying and completely un-neccessary.

This person does not know how to express himself properly. He has a very limited vocabulary. But most of all... he is just a jerk.
