I am interested in hearing any experiences, good or bad, concerning online dating services. Are there any agencies that are better than others? Is the whole thing just a crock?

I found Match.com and Yahoo really good sites. I met a lot of nice men, only a couple turned out to be a little weird. I eventually met my current husband and we fell in love right away. You need to be discriminate and talk to the people online first, then a couple of phone calls before meeting them so that you can get a feel if this person is what you might be looking for. There is no way I would have met him or anybody else because I have an isolated job where I don't meet people. So, I gave it a try and I am so glad that I did. (I have heard from men that the women do post old pictures of themselves and that a lot of women are much older and chunkier than they present themselves. Also, some people are professional daters so you need to be careful of them). I didn't have this experience with the men.

It works well, if.... you invest the needed time and energy. It works best if you use email (lots of them) to really get to know the other before you meet them. I like it because you can be yourself immediately, and hopefully the other will do the same. And that why you can make judgments about the other early on, i.e. you can move on early if there is no spark or if there is a compatibility problem.

I am dating a guy that I met on OKCupid.com. I really like him a lot! I have met other guys from there before and some of them are still pretty good friends to me. I've never paid for a dating site before though.

I have had 2 bad experiences with them. Both girls were addicted to the sites. Even one girl I was with was for 3 years, and engaged, and I kept finding her on date sites. Its like people get addicted to them and always want to see who is out there or available to them. Its sick.

i attempted all of it of two cases. It grow to be an extremely low factor for me haha. the two adult men appeared quite advantageous on the exterior, large to speak to etc... yet there is a few thing approximately on line relationship that, once you eventually meet them, quite commence relationship, first and foremost: a million. it style of seems such as you haven't any longer something to speak approximately by using fact you have already revealed lots approximately your self from months or regardless of of on line/telephone conversations. 2. it particularly is lots greater handy to cover who you particularly are on line... no longer so good. 3. it particularly is greater handy to get cheated on, by using fact you don't understand who else suggested man or woman is chatting with - and would not inevitably supply up chatting with once you're "relationship". i don't understand - it particularly is in simple terms no longer user-friendly sufficient for me... And it particularly is style of peculiar whilst human beings ask the way you met. i will in no way do it back, yet those are in simple terms my very own carry ups... i think of on line relationship can entice those that have not have been given many social skills in genuine existence, and that's a genuine downer once you hit genuine existence. So next time a team of giggly girlfriends come to a decision they want to place a profile of me, or another unsuspecting soul on line, i will gladly decline and warn others.
