The answerers above are completely wrong. There have been email hoaxes that made the claim that hot water bottles release toxins. Completely untrue.

hand sanitizer left in a hot car will become really runny. its practically useless. its like water coming out of the bottle.

No! They've done research that has proven that one cause of breast cancer is women drinking from water bottles that have been left in the hot car. Chemicals from the plastic get into the water. The same with the plastics that arent microwave safe. Not only will the melt down in the microwave, they'll contaminate your food.

extremes in heat and cold will release toxins from the plastic containers. It is not recommended that you consume any food or drink that has been frozen or heated in plastic. As for hand sanitizers, heating denatures the alcohol that is the primary ingredient rendering it pretty much useless.

If they're unopened, then yes - you can leave them in warm conditions and nothing should grow (if nothing can get in). However, if it's been opened and bacteria have already gotten in, then they can multiply in a warm environment.
