I was standing in front of this larger than life grinning black evil creature and he was holding a white cape and a halo was floating above the cape(it be seemed to belong to me). He threw it around my shoulders and it(the white) disappeared as though invisible then I woke up.

The black evil creature represents a demon or devil. The white cape represents the mantle or covering of God's anointed ones. The halo represents a saint. But what your dream is showing you is that the devil has deceived in regards to your salvation. Your dream seems to point to the fact that your salvation with God is not solid. Good and evil do not mix. So, if anyone is giving you a white mantle it should be God, not a demonic spirit.

I think the halo and cape might resemble angels, and Christianity, but the black evil creature would resemble the devil. So are you saying when he put the cape on you the cape disappeared or the cresture did? If the cape disappeared...thats not a good sign. But if the creature disappeared thats a great sign. I know this isnt much, but there isnt much more I can think of.
