I am pretty sure most football fans don't care what he did they just want him back on the field in the fall. I think he should be locked up for life.

Any human being that would harm, torture, and kill something more helpless then them is a sick individual. A man that harms the innocent is no man he is a spineless piece of scum. I would spit on him if I ever came face to face with him and I am only 5 ft. tall and 110 pounds. And I bet the spineless creature would try to hit me back.Spineless humans like that usual abuse animals children and women because they are helpless. Put a man up against Mr. ***----- and he probably would run in the other direction.Football player or not, he's lower than scum. He is no MAN!I am a gentle person and I love animals considering I have three labs that are spoiled rotten. And if I had a gun in my hand and I saw him abusing a innocent animal my first instinct would be to kill the bastard! I do not think anything gets under my skin more than a so called man that abuses animals, children or women. If there is any justice in this world we need to ALL ban together and let the public know about dog fighting. It's all over and on the rise. We are the only ones who can stop these criminal acts. First step would be to get this jerk put away and not just a slap on the wrist. He needs to be an example for all the other thugs out there. So many of us just sit back and say what a sad story ect....and do nothing. We need to help all of us that care for animals. Dogs are the most loving forgiving loyal creatures on the planet. This has made my blood boil. I want this scum bag to pay in hell. (I'd settle for a long long jail stay!!!)

First things first. He hasn't been proven guilty yet. So we can't just jump on the bandwagon and say hes already guilty (which if you honestly believe hes not guilty theres something mentally wrong with you). You also have to realize he is a celebrity which basically makes him innocent automatically. He will throw money at the right people and they will get it on the hush hush and vick will be proven not guilty. But if I was the judge I would lock him up for the maximum which is 6 years and by that time his career in the NFL would be over. I am an extreme lover of dogs and hate to see that kind of cruelty towards them. On top of that I was bitten across the face by a pitbull when i was four and have serious scars to prove it. After all that I still say lock him up for the maximum term. He deserves it.

He also electrocuted some after wetting them down, according to the indictment. Why? Because they didn't fight well enough when they were initially tested.

The NFL and the Falcons have decided this is just a disappointment and they are still letting Vick play. This is the kind of guy they want on their team. A guy who tortures dogs is valuable to them. This and the many legal problems football players get into with increasing frequency indicates a serious problem in the NFL as a whole.
I recommend boycotting the NFL until they decide to grow a backbone and suspend Vick. They're big tough guys when it comes to the sport, but they're pathetic when it comes to life.

The NFL does NOT need this kind of example flaunted in front of anyone, and Society does NOT need this kind of mentality around.
Just change the scenario for a moment:
Hitler may well have been a good musician, Hussein might have been a superb chef ...
but they were both BUTCHERS of 'created life forms'.
Who cares what kind of football player he is, Michael Vick deserves the same bottom-line end result as these two!!

People, remember, in this country, you are innocent until proven guilty and you know what, he wasn't even indicted for dog fighting, rather conspiracy to commit a number of illegal acts.
Sounds to me that they didn't really have a case in order to charge him. So they use this to basically win their case. It's much easier to prove this conspiracy thing then the dog fighting. As I said, I don't think the prosecution had a leg to stand on if this is the route they are taking.
Before you go trashing me saying I am a Vick fan, you couldn't be further from the truth. I'm a Miami Dolphins fan, hate Atlanta and not that big into Football, but would much rather watch NHL hockey then Football!

He needs to be put away for some years - I bet he thinks this is a joke and his lawyers will get him off.
His house and fortune should also be impounded and used to establish a retirement home where the poor surviving dogs he has can live out their lives instead of being put down, which is what usually happens to dogs trained for fighting.
The dogs pay for the inhumanity of the idiot who thinks dog fighting is a great "sport".
As long as they cover up stuff like this and make it sound like a small misdemeanor, there will be no end to it.
Dog fighting and spouse abuse - seems to be o.k. as long as they play sports.

In this country you are innocent until proven guilty. they have nothing on him saying that HE did it. they are saying that it was the people living in that house with him. no doubt what they are doing to those dogs is wrong, but its more than just him. also yes i do think that he should still be able to play football is a way to relieve stress and get away from all of your problems for a while plus he is awesome at what he does.

YES - assuming he is found guilty in a court of law.
Sorry, but NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS athletes are role models for inner city kids. This "thug mentality" being exhibited by the current athletes has got to stop now.
Vick, Pac Man Jones and company should have their day in court - let's not convict them in the court of public opinion like we did the kids from Duke Lacrosse yet. But if found guilty, they go to jail just like you or I would.
If anything celebrities should have the book thrown at them harder than the average joe.

I don't have any polite words to describe what should be done to this idiot. Prison is far, far too merciful, unless they let his fellow prisoners do to him what he encouraged those poor dogs to do to each other.
What a complete and thorough filth bag, NFL or not. People like him should not be allowed to suck up valuable oxygen IMO.
