Some of my friends and myself will be in NYC for 5 days next week. We really want to checkout the blues/jazz music scene, even if they are buskers (there are so many great musicians out there). However, we have one 17 year old with us thus restricting where we can go. I hope you guys can still help us out!
Thanks! Brian.

You'll need to go to free jazz shows in the park. Sometimes there are free shows at Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village and sometimes they are free shows at Battery Park at the foot of Manhattan. Sometimes in Central Park.

They got great food (BarBQ) and they have really good live blues/jazz.
