The milk ducts can get clogged. If the knot becomes painful or red or feels warm to the touch then you should see your doctor. If the clogged duct gets infected you will need antibiotics and it is very painful. Most of the time the clog will just work itself out. Keep and eye on it, but don't worry about it, it's pretty common.

possibly a clogged milk duct or mastitis.
When my milk supply is high my breasts often feel knotty and a bit hard, they go away after i nurse because they are empty.

It could be because of a blocked milk duct.
