I read in recent novel that each time we go to hospital for a blood test or Urine sample a very small portion of it is taken for DNA testing for secuity records. These records are not open to the regular police but security services only. They have about 90% of the population on record.

20 years ago I would have said impossible but now I,m not sure.
1. Is it feasable?
2. Is it Done

No to all.

Believe me, a DNA test costs upwards of 700 bucks each. Do you really think that anyone is going to eat the cost for that?

It is not done.... believe me, its all science fiction.

It's not really feasible - genetic testing is still expensive and time consuming, so it wouldn't be practical to do it with /every/ sample taken.

And, no, it's obviously not being done - and the 90% figure is obviously off - I wouldn't be surprised if more than 10% of the population had /never/ recieved such medical care.

If not, I hope it is being done.

Every baby born in America. Every foreigner entering. Everybody getting a license, arrested, married, etc.

Then when Johnny grows up and murders and rapes, we know right where to go.

No. Like they have time for any of that. All they care about is what's wrong with you or what drugs you've been doing, and those tests take up more than enough time and money...
