My favorite wine is red zinfandel...not to be confused with white zinfandel which I personally do not like at all. Red Zins have a peppery, spicy zip which can be paired with many great meals but it stands alone wonderfully too. If I'm drinking white, I usually go with a Pinot Gris or Gregio since that is what my husband prefers when we are going white but if it's up to me I like a full bodied oaky Chardonnay generally at room temp....maybe a little chilly but I have a hard time tasting all the flavors if it's too chilled. That's just me though, I think most people prefer their whites very cold and on a warm day I will easily go for a brisk and crisp SB, especially if dining outside. :) For port wines I prefer tawny over ruby...not sure why, just my preference. I like wine can you tell...haha....

white, such a good sipping wine which I tend to like when in the mood for drinking and beer just ain't cutting it...however, in winter, love the red with hot, homemade roast beef dinners and could drink the same amount. Oh heck lets just say red's my winter wine and white is my summer wine!

I prefer a rose or blush wine. I like the sweet fruity flavor of a zinfandel. My absolute favorite wine is Arbor Mist.

I like both but prefer Chardonnay (white). I like a chilled wine with my dinner and it doesnt stain your teeth (and furniture, clothing, etc.) like red does.
A good (inexpensive @$13/bottle) Chardonnay to try: Kendall Jackson, Estancia, Liberty School, and Shooting Star.

Prefer reds (Valpolicella or Spatburgunder) but a nice semi-dry white is also nice and refreshing!

I love red - especially Merlot and Pinot - they are just so nice to sit and sip while talking to friends. The warm fruit notes are really nice iced into a sangria in the summer as well.

red has lots of wonderful anti-oxidants so you can pretend your healthy, but generally i'd prefer white. It all depends on the food too. But my fave is rose, you know why? best of both! when you cant decide get rose! :)
