2004 2500 ram truck Makes sweekin sound only in gear 0-65 mhp replaced brakes pads,belt not the cause.Only makes sound when in gear and moving????

jump on each corner, or push down, this will help you pin point the problem, of course your U joints could be bad for some reason, have someone stand outside and listen as you crawl along in first gear,

I think I know why.Yes. I think you've found the right link because I would suspect your stabilizer bar links are failing. The links are essentially a small shaft with a ball joint on each end. Eventually the ball portion will corrode and the joint gets a little loose. Slight movement can sound like a squeaking door hinge (think old horror movie). Eventually the link is loose enough that it will clack or thunk as the ball gets jerked around and contact is metal to metal as the plastic is worn away. The actual upper or lower ball joints and steering tie rod link are also all capable of making a similar noise as they become worn and need replacing. But from reading many posts it seems the stabilizer bar links are the first and most likely to fail. Since they cost about $40 per side and are an easy DIY project I would replace them. I plan on doing this repair to my own vehicle within the week.

Check the drive shaft universals sounds like a rear 1.

check with your dealer there was a recall on the wheel bearings..Good Luck Buy a Chevy next time. Seriously there was a recall.

Could be a balancer in the belt.
