Hi! I need help on hotels in Beijing, Xi'an and Chengdu that are not frequented by backpackers. I don't have anything against backpackers but since I don't really travel like a backpacker, I'd feel out of place with me being in dress and carry-on luggage instead of t-shirts/shorts and a backpack. Thank you!

so you need a hotel room? No offense, but this is a really dumb question? try on of the many on-line sites like expedia, or orbitz.

People usually need help finding places where backpackers stay because they tend to be hard to find.

You on the other hand are looking for a hotels, which is listed and advertised all over the Internet....... need i say more........

Avoid hostels. Stay in 4-or-more star hotels that most backpackers can't afford. ;-{)
