I've been seeing a lot of talk on here about race, and interracial dating/marriage; from what I read, many seem to assume that black men prefer white women... but there's no black women that prefer white men! Is this true? I don't think so; I've dated outside my race for many many years now (sorry WASPs, I'm not coming back!), and my criteria was always; I don't want a woman who'll "settle" for a white man; rather, I want one who prefers, or even exclusively wants a white man. In my experience, there's many out there, so let these isolated people hear your words!

I have not only dated black women, but hispanic too, and if you oppose my personal choices, this isn't the forum for it; but I am looking for those who DO have a personal preference, regardless of "political correctness".

and, if you could "care less", although it's a very nice & politically correct answer, please don't answer; it's NOT what I'm asking!

In spite of many "politically correct" assertions to the contrary, we ALL have an esthetic preference. Some women like bald men, some fat men, some couldn't stand being with a fat man, etc. Some women like a tan, some Ivory white, & others dark, and still others black as velvet. As much as some of you are trying to appear "colorblind" (as nice as it may sound; kinda like communism, on paper; but in the real world, it just doesn't work, as history has shown us.). Having a physical preference, doesn't make you shallow, or racist, or unintelligent. Whatever the animal magnetism is that attracts you to the opposite sex is... simply is. No mistake, no appologies, no fault, no foul. I once saw a very dark, slender woman, with a very short afro, and the smoothest skin, wearing a simple/modest sun dress; walking on a sidewalk in downtown Lansing, MI. I'll never see her again, and never know her name... but I thought she was one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen!

I'm a black woman and I prefer white men. I have said this so many times, I'm sure people are staring to get annoyed. LOL!! But, hey, you like who you like right?

I don't exclusively want white men, but I do date exclusively outside my race. I'm glad that someone finally says something about this issue of thinking that no black women wanted white men because there are so many black women that keep asking this question, it's almost sickening. But now that you have brought it to the fore, I hope it will help them. I hope I helped! *u*

Isolated is right. I'd have to say the number is 9:1. 1 out of each of my 10 girlfriends/sisters/acquaintances, 1 of them is colorblind. The others prefer black men. But who wouldn't date the "right" person of ANY color? I think everyone has their level of willingness when it comes to this. I have a couple of good friends happily married to white guys. The ones who have a "strict" preference are sometimes a little jaded by being hurt in the past though. So, I don't judge but I have to wonder how much they truly love themselves if they "hate" black guys. Great question and I admire your courage and honesty. My (black) husband thought I had a white man preference for some reason when we met. I think its because I'm not racist in anyway and I embrace diversity.

Peace.

There are many sistas who prefer a white man but it seems that not a lot of white men may prefer sistas. It's really not hyped as much when it's a black woman/white man. It's so much more hyped with it's a black man with a white woman. But I know a LOT of us who will date outside of our race. And it's not even about us settling, it's actually taking a step outside the box & opening up your mind to other people regardless of skin tone. I hear lots of positives with black women/white men situations.

I like white guys. I want a white man and would love to marry one. Race isn't really important it if that person black or white is worth me investing in.

well mark, i myself exclusively date white men. i'm more attracted to them because to be honest with you, i dont feel right with a black man, i dont know why. maybe because i never had that black father figure in my life to guide and groom me, or just frankly i can have great conversations with white men and they'll know what im talking about. I think it's the eyes. im a sucker for blue eyes, lol. youre handsome yourself. so yeah i'm one of the black women that prefer white men!

Prefer? No I have no real preference, I don't know anyone personally who does (as far as I can tell). My husband is Latin (White Latin) but that really had nothing to do with why I'm with him. He's just my hubby bubby.
