Entry level would mean a job that requires a bare minimum of experience. The "skills" they are talking about could be something as basic as answering the telphone and greeting people as they walk in the door, and sending faxes- which most people know how to do, without even trying.

An entry level job means you will start from the very basics, i.e. doing rutine tasks which others do not want to do, mainly secreterial work, behind a screen.

As an entry level, you will be at the lowest rank of hierarchy, which means you;ll have to smile a lot and comply with the bosses' request at all times.

Given that you won't be handling a great amount of work, and face no risks within the organization, your pay will also be pretty low.

Some companies only accept employees from entry-level positions, then you only need to "work hard" and climb your way to the top.

An entry level position is in general a job that you will do for a limited time to learn the position and then use that knowledge to move up to a better position in the company - in real life it means the lowest paying job within an organization and may or may not have advancement potential

For that job, let them know in the cover letter that you're interested in applying for the entry level position that was advertised. You don't have to put a title on it, just reference the ad.

An entry level position could be any number of titles depending on the company and the duties.

Entry level is probably what you are, unless you're still 12. It means, you have no experience and your pay reflects that.
