Isn't it kind of prejudicial that movies usually just use swear words that would offend Christians? Usually it is "J...C..." as a cuss word. Now that we are more diverse as a culture, shouldn't hollywood try to offend more types of groups? Why not say "Mo..f...ing hammed" or maybe "Rama...f..ing krishna" or even "Yah..." or maybe "goddess...f...ing mother" or something. Isn't hollywood missing a great opportunity to offend more people?

I'd Say 10 % Of The Cuss Words I've Learnt Are From Movies. Eg : Deep*hit & F**kface From American Pie. BQ : False. I Hear Them All The Time In Real Life. At Times I Am Surprised When A Kid Uses A Cuss Word That I Havent Even Heard Of. BQ 2 : N/A

i used to use J C as a cuss word all the time. It is such an accepted turn of phrase but recently becoming a Christian...when i hear others using it (and yes, occassionally myself out of habit) i do get offended.

However, rather than offending others....perhaps holywood could develop alternative cuss words which dont offend anyone??

Alot of good movies are ruined by all the fowl language.I hate watching a movie and every other word is cussing or the "F" word.It would be nice if they just cut it out all together.

THe wonderful thing about repetition is that it wears thin, and exposes the lack of imagination and intelligence.

They have made cuss words lose their power.

Interesting point.

But all cussing offends me....whether the name of the Lord is in there or not (but especially when it is)

cuss words, or curse words, have live to no power anymore. if i curse at someone it doesn't damn them. a time ago curse words had strong means, nowadays it's like saying hi to someone. got to love how things change

LOL. I hadn't noticed, but your suggestions made me giggle.

I just wish they'd stop showing people puking. Wayyyy too much reality for me. I find THAT offensive.

You have the choice not to watch those movies. If it's rated R for language...don't watch it.
